This is a modification parts kit and requires custom installation of all parts.
The toggle switches have 48" of wire so they can be mounted on the front of the Dune Buggy if wanted. These wire lengths can be shortened on request.
The vehicle must be at a complete stop before switching from forward to reverse, or from reverse to forward. Otherwise the controller or drivetrain may become damaged.
The chain with master link in this kit is oversized and will need to be shortened to the correct length after the motor is installed.
Two pieces of 1/4” threaded rod that are bent into a U shape can be used to install the motor without needing to modify the frame’s motor mount. 1/4” ID vinyl tubing can be placed over the threaded rod to help it grip the motor better and prevent scratching it.
A different version of this kit can be special ordered with a motor that has a mounting base if you prefer to modify the frame's motor mount or make a motor mount adapter instead of using threaded rod.
This kit goes forward and reverse and has a reverse switch. We also have this kit available Without Reverse.
