Why do I have to pay duties and taxes?
The Government of Canada taxes shipments from the United States because they want to protect Canadian companies from competitors in the United States, and to raise revenues through import duties and taxes. Duties and taxes on imported products are a legal requirement that must be paid before your shipment can be delivered.
Why do I have to pay courier processing fees?
Canada Post, FedEx, and UPS charge import processing fees to help cover the costs of filing importing paperwork and collecting duties and taxes for the Government of Canada.
How much will I have to pay when my shipment arrives?
ElectricScooterParts.com cannot determine how much you will have to pay. Importing duties and taxes are determined by the Canada Border Services Agency and courier processing fees are determined by the courier company.

The Canada Border Services Agency has an online duties and taxes estimator: https://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-voyage/dte-acl/est-cal-eng.html

This online duties and taxes estimator provides an estimate only and the actual amount may be higher or lower than quoted. When using this estimator and asked "Was the product made in a CUSMA country" you will need to select "No, it was made elsewhere" for all of the products that we sell. Also please be aware that the product amount in Canadian dollars (CAD) needs to be entered into the estimator, which is different than the US dollar amount shown on our website.
