⚠️ Warning: When using this kit to convert a gas powered go-kart to electric, the original axle sprocket usually has too few teeth to provide the proper gear ratio for the electric motor, and using the original sprocket may lug the motor causing a loss of power and overheating and damaging the electric motor and/or controller. T8F chain and sprockets will usually be required to achieve the proper gear ratio while keeping the axle sprocket from being larger than the rear tires.
