Warning: The go-kart needs to be at a complete stop before switching from forward to reverse or from reverse to forward. If the direction is switched while the go-kart is moving then the speed controller will stop working. There is no warranty on the speed controller so if this happens then it will need to be replaced at your expense. For this reason, we do not recommend this kit for children to use. For children, we recommend our
24 Volt 500 Watt kit without reverse, our
36 Volt 1000 Watt kit with reverse, or our
48 Volt 1000 Watt kit with reverse. Our 1000 Watt kits with reverse have a heavy duty external reverse relay which stops the motor between forward and reverse to prevent damage to the controller if the direction is changed when the go-kart is in motion.
This kit requires frame modifications including a larger battery tray and motor mounting plate.
The chain included with this kit is longer than needed and will have to be shortened to the correct length after the motor is installed.
The red push button switch on the throttle activates reverse.
Switching from forward to reverse, or reverse to forward, while the vehicle is in motion may damage the controller. Do not press the reverse switch while the vehicle is moving.
