This is a modification parts kit and requires custom installation of all parts.
The vehicle must be at a complete stop before switching from forward to reverse, or from reverse to forward. Otherwise the controller may become damaged.
The chain with master link in this kit is oversized and will need to be shortened to the correct length after the motor is installed.
Chain tensioners do not work with vehicles that have reverse so the chain tensioner will need to be deleted and the chain made to fit without a tensioner.
The motor in this kit has a mounting base that is larger than the original motor's mounting base so the Dune Buggy frame's motor mount will need to be modified or a motor mount adapter will need to be made to install the motor.
We carry this same kit with a motor that does not have a mounting base so that two pieces of 1/4” threaded rod that are bent into a U shape can be used to install the motor without needing to modify the frame’s motor mount.
